It is human to feel lonely at times. I myself have days where I miss being in love. It is difficult going through hard times in life alone, but I have found that I am never truly alone. I may not be in love, or have a partner by my side, but I have myself. I have my family. I have my friends. I have God. No matter what you believe in, or what your personal relationships are like, try to remember that we ourselves are company. We are love. Take time to yourself to do something you enjoy. Spend time developing your interests. It is crucial to love ourselves truly and deeply. To accept who we are entirely. I honestly believe that until we find ourselves, our deep selves inside our souls, we cannot be truly happy in any other aspect of our lives. Life is here in front of you now. We all need to take a step back sometimes to put things into perspective. Too often I find myself wishing I was at a point in my life that I am not currently in. There is no need to rush life. Whether you want something to happen now, or a year from now, whatever is meant to be will be. Stressing about something that we have no control over is a complete waste of time, energy, and thought. Each moment that I become conscious of the fact that I am unhappy with just…being…I try to think of something that I am thankful for. I have begun my journey of stepping away from the pointless drama. Counting myself out of the frivolous arguments or discussions and truly focusing on the growth of my inner being. We all have our own journeys to go on, and no one way is better than the other. Contemplate what is truly important to you, and if your life is a reflection of that. If not, adjust accordingly!
Try not to be easily fooled by empty promises. Some people have a tendency to say wonderful things and insist they will give you the world. Remember that these are just simple words. They might as well be telling you Dumbledore is rising from the backyard. Pay attention to his/her actions first and foremost. I believe that desperation, loneliness, sadness, and anger makes people do things that they don’t necessarily mean or even want when they return to their “normal” state of mind. Magic is wonderful, but remember magic includes illusions.
I am not sure what the source of this photo is, but I had to share the lovely message.
Do not let any man, woman, or person define who you are. Too often we trouble ourselves with worries and thoughts about how other people are going to react to what we say or do. If you are not scared to be yourself when you are alone, do not be scared to be yourself simply because of the physical presence of another. You are unique, you are loved, and you are beautiful just the way you are. Be kind and spread love wherever you go for that is all that really matters.
